Super Summer--Saturday Spotlight!

This Saturday, the spotlight is on the SPHYNX! Sphynx cats are arguably a very interesting cat breed because of their lack of fur. Cats without fur, like the Sphynx, are called "hairless". However, Sphynx cats could still have a little bit of fur that is not very visible.

Since these cats do not have fur, they need bathe regularly and get their ears cleaned. Here's a video of a Sphynx cat in the bathtub--this breed seems to actually enjoy it!
After all, if a cat has been raised taking regular baths, it is not a hard task to get them to like water. Another neat thing about this cat breed is that some people that are allergic to cats can live with them. Of course, it all depends on the seriousness of the allergy.

Sphynx cats like being the center of attention and are very curious. These cats are very energetic, as this cat demonstrates...
Although some people think that Sphynx cats are ugly, they are actually very popular. Most Sphynx breeders have waiting lists for their kittens.

No matter what some people think about this cat breed's appearance, there's more than meets the eye to Sphynx cats! Check back next week for another Saturday Spotlight!
